Who we are
Mahaffey Law Group has represented corporate clients and individuals in a wide array of complex business litigation, real estate matters, debt collection and personal injury law since 1990. Founding attorney Douglas Mahaffey has practiced law in California since 1986.
Our team of Newport Beach lawyers and legal assistants bring an immense amount of experience to every case. Our consultative approach means that when you hire one of our attorneys you get them all. In 1986, Doug started his career defending personal injury cases, and then for approximately 10 years, he pursued plaintiff's personal injury cases. In 2004 and 2005, he was the only Orange County lawyer to obtain back-to-back punitive damage verdicts over $1 million from three separate juries. His extensive experience in both plaintiffs and defense work is now used to guide corporate clients in defeating or minimizing exposure to personal injury claims.
